A domain is any website you host on Kubepanel. This includes primary domains (example.com) and subdomains if they're set up as separate hosting accounts. Aliases pointing to the same content don't count as additional domains.

Yes! You can upgrade anytime and the new features become available immediately. For downgrades, changes take effect at the end of your current billing period. Your data is always preserved during plan changes.

You won't be able to create new domains until you upgrade your plan or remove existing domains. Your existing domains will continue to work normally - we never take down your sites.

It depends on which option you choose. With the Managed Service, no — KubePanel provisions a fully configured 3-node Kubernetes cluster on Hetzner Cloud automatically, ready in about 30 minutes. With the self-hosted option, you bring your own servers and run the install script, which handles everything including MicroK8s and storage setup.

The Free tier lets you try all platform features with up to 5 domains. This gives you a complete picture of what Kubepanel can do. Paid plans add higher limits and support - features you can evaluate with the Free tier first.
